Class Announcements:NaNoWriMo I love this competition between a writer and himself (huh...isn't that a type of conflict?). If you've never heard of NaNoWriMo, why not check it out if you're serious about writing? In a nutshell, you dedicate the month of November to getting your story OUT of your head and uploaded on your NaNoWriMo account (it's encrypted, so don't worry). As a young writer, you get to choose your own word count (adults have a minimum of 50,000 words). Intrigued? Go to http://ywp.nanowrimo.org/ Don't know what to read next? ******7th grade got a lot of tests back today! ******** Today I gave an extra credit option for the Anne Frank test to the entire class. Due to declining behavior in the vast majority of students, which is likely due to the fact that this was the first day back from a long vacation, I have postponed the option. As I explained to the class, they already received the grades they earned on the test. Extra credit is not something they automatically receive in my class. If behavior is better tomorrow, the option will certainly be extended once again. If it is not extended to the entire class again, individual students may still ask for extra credit.
